Western North Carolina Pediatric Ophthalmology Position with Physician-Owned Private Practice | Partnership Track Option

We are a physician-led, multi-specialty ophthalmology practice dedicated to delivering exceptional clinical outcomes while providing an unparalleled experience for patients, families, and employees.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Ophthalmologist with Adult Strabismus interests to join our growing team in Western North Carolina. Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage a broad range of pediatric and adult ophthalmic conditions, including:

  • Strabismus
  • Amblyopia
  • Pediatric cataracts
  • Congenital eye disorders
  • Refractive and binocular vision disorders
  • Adult strabismus and complex ocular motility disorders
  • Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures as aligned with the physician’s training, experience, and interests, including:
  • Strabismus surgery
  • Pediatric cataract surgery
  • Adult strabismus procedures
  • Additional surgical procedures, as applicable
  • Conduct comprehensive pediatric and adult ophthalmic evaluations
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, schools, therapists, optometrists, and referring providers to coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, surgical options, and long-term visual development
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in practice growth initiatives and community outreach opportunities

Scope of practice and clinical responsibilities may be tailored based on individual physician training, interests, and preferences.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology Residency Program
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
  • Eligible for unrestricted North Carolina medical licensure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
