Opportunity Overview

A premier, physician-owned ophthalmology practice in Lafayette, Louisiana, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Ophthalmologist to join its growing team. While a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist is preferred, comprehensive ophthalmologists with strong cataract surgical skills and an interest in glaucoma are highly encouraged to apply.

This turn-key position offers immediate clinical and surgical volume, a robust regional optometric referral network, modern diagnostic and laser suites, and a path to partnership if desired by the incoming doctor.

Practice Highlights & Surgical Volume

• Turn-Key Patient Base: High patient demand from day one; current primary surgeon sees 55–65 clinic patients per day.

• Active Surgical Volume: Immediate access to surgical cases; current volume exceeds 60+ procedures per month.

• Advanced Technology & Lasers: Perform premium cataract surgery with the CATALYS Precision Laser System. In-office capabilities include DSLT, traditional SLT, YAG capsulotomy, and peripheral iridotomy (PI).

• Facility Access: Operating privileges at top regional facilities, including The Surgery Center, Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center, and Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital.

• Dedicated Support Staff: Work alongside dedicated ophthalmic technicians, scribes, a surgery coordinator, in-house billing professionals, and an on-site Practice Manager.

Salary, Bonus & Benefits

• Base Salary: $300,000 – $350,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO).
