Life Around Boiling Springs and Spartanburg

An early Friday finish and free weekends give you time to get to know South Carolina’s Upstate. From downtown dinners and live performances to wooded trails and baseball nights, the Spartanburg area offers plenty of ways to spend that time.

Make an evening of downtown Spartanburg. Meet friends for dinner, explore local shops, or settle into a patio around Morgan Square. Downtown brings together restaurants, public art, and live entertainment, including the city’s Music on Main concert series.

Catch a show or explore the arts. The Chapman Cultural Center campus is home to the Spartanburg Art Museum and Spartanburg Little Theatre. Theatre productions, exhibitions, and performances offer reasons to put something new on the calendar.

Spend a night at the ballpark. Cheer on the Hub City Spartanburgers at Fifth Third Park, adding minor league baseball to your spring and summer plans.

Trade screen time for trail time. Croft State Park offers more than 7,000 acres of wooded terrain, with opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing, and paddling. For a nature break close to downtown, explore the Cottonwood Trail along Lawson’s Fork Creek.

Whether your ideal weekend includes a performance, a ballgame, a long walk, or dinner with friends, there’s plenty here to build a life around.
